'sporty spectacle'

Introducing Sporty Spectacle, a collection starting with extracting inspiration from the spontaneous wonders from Rotterdam city life.

The process began with immersive street exploration, I ended up in the Katendrecht area of Rotterdam. Where the allure of a giant popsicle sticker in a window, a big sidewalk chessboard, and a red basket with beerbottles sparked the creative process of this collection.

Focusing on the layers in the popsicle, the shapes of the different chess pieces and a beerbottle, the collection come together as sporty with a fun and extravagant twist. Functional clothing, such as a rain poncho was made into a spectacle garment with layers of tulle.
